Terms of service
Last updated 30 August 2026
These terms cover salon owners who use Dayslot. If you booked an appointment at a salon that uses Dayslot, these do not apply to you — your agreement is with the salon, and what we do with your details is set out in our privacy notice.
These terms are between you and TKX8 LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17427341, whose registered office is 42 Fountain Road, Birmingham, England, B17 8NR. “We”, “us” and “Dayslot” mean TKX8 LIMITED throughout — Dayslot is a trading name of TKX8 LIMITED, not a separate company.
What you get
A booking page at your own address, real-time availability, and a dashboard to manage it from. Your clients book without creating an account, and they can move or cancel their own appointments through a private link in their confirmation email.
What it costs
- Dayslot Starter is £29 a month for the software.
- A built-for-you website is £299, once. We design and build it and set up your content. You buy your own domain and hosting separately, and those are not included in the £299.
- We take 0% commission on your bookings. Your clients pay you directly. Your money never passes through us, which is why there is nothing for us to take a cut of.
- There is no per-staff charge and no setup fee on the monthly plan.
The trial runs for 14 days and takes no card up front. If you do not continue, nothing happens — there is no charge to cancel and nothing to remember to switch off.
How billing works
- The monthly plan is invoiced by email, monthly in advance, and paid by bank transfer. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
- No VAT is added, because TKX8 LIMITED is not VAT registered. If that changes we will tell you before it affects an invoice.
- If an invoice is late we will get in touch. We will not take your page down without speaking to you first — your clients rely on it, and they are not part of this agreement.
- If we change what the service costs, you get at least 30 days’ notice before it applies to you, and you can leave instead.
Leaving
There is no minimum term and no exit fee. You can stop whenever you like, and your client list is yours to take with you.
What we expect from you
- That the details you give us about your salon — your services, prices and hours — are accurate, since your clients book against them.
- That you have the right to use any photographs and content you send us for your page.
- That you keep access to your dashboard to yourself and the people who work for you. Your clients’ details are behind it.
- That you use it for a real salon business, and lawfully.
Your clients’ data is yours
The people who book with you are your clients, not ours. We do not market to them, we do not sell their details, and we do not advertise other salons to them on your page. If one of them asks to be erased, you can do it yourself from your dashboard.
What we do and do not promise
We will keep the service running and fix things that break. We build your page before you pay anything, and you approve it before it goes live — if you do not like it, you owe us nothing.
We do not promise the service will never be unavailable. No software can honestly promise that, and we would rather say so than write a guarantee we cannot keep.
Limits on what we are liable for
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. Those cannot be capped and we are not trying to cap them.
Subject to that, and because you use Dayslot for a business:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost goodwill, lost anticipated savings, or business interruption.
- Where data is lost or corrupted, our liability is limited to the cost of restoring it from the most recent backup.
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of £1,000 or the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Any claim must be brought within 12 months of the day you became aware of it.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will update the date at the top, and tell you directly when the change affects what you pay or what you get.
Which law applies
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute.
